The deceased has been identified as Tofali Nayak. Tofali, a native of Birokot village under Thuamul Rampur block, was a Plus Two first year student of Commerce department.
The hanging body was recovered from Indrabati Girls' Hostel of the Maa Manikeshwari University, erstwhile Kalahandi University.
The reason behind Tofali's death is yet to be known. Police have already started investigation into the matter and more details are awaited in this case.
