Bhubaneswar, Dec 12: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has arrived in the capital city of Odisha Thursday for a two-day visit. He received a rousing reception at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here.
After arrival, Sarma headed to Puri to have darshan and offer prayers to the holy trinity -- Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra -- at the Shree Jagannath Temple, informed Manmohan Samal, Odisha BJP President.
Himanta Biswa Sarma is scheduled to attend the inauguration ceremony of the newly-built Badminton High Performance Centre (HPC) at the Kalinga Stadium here later in the day.
He will be joined by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the event. He will stay the night at a private hotel. He will reportedly head back to Assam, Friday.
