According to sources, the ambulance was stuck in traffic for a long time amidst the BJD's roadshow attended by the ruling party's district observer for Rayagada and former Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, BJD's MP candidate for Koraput Lok Sabha constituency Kousalya Hikaka and Rayagada MLA candidate Anusaya Majhi and several other leaders.
The driver of the ambulance kept honking the horn and blowing the blue beacon in a desperate attempt to find a way out of the BJD rally, but to no avail.
Good Samaritans attempted to maneuver the traffic so that the ambulance could move fast to the hospital. But, the BJD rally had clogged the entire road.
The ambulance finally moved out of the chaos after the BJD rally crossed the flyover, sources said.
