Out of 195 platoons, 30 will be engaged in the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation area, while 20 platoons will be deployed in Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) and 10 platoon s in Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) area.
Besides, a total of 300 mobile parties will be engaged on the voting day. Of the 300 mobile parties, 109 will be deployed in the three municipal corporations. Each booth will be guarded by either a Constable or a Havildar or an armed force jawan, the SEC said.
A striking force will be kept ready at each police station in the poll-bound area. There will be one or two platoons of security personnel at district headquarters for emergency purposes, Padhi said. Similarly, there will be five border seal points, he added.
