Out of the fresh 1784 COVID-19 cases, 1035 cases were detected from quarantined people, while 749 cases were reported from local contacts.
Nuapada district recorded the maximum number of fresh cases at 303, followed by Sundargarh at 241 and Khordha at 201.
According to the State Health Department, as many as 3,40,600 people of the State have recovered from Coronavirus infection so far.
Odisha currently has 10,503 active cases, the Health Department said.
