Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: Union Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday thanked Prime Minister for extending the 'Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) scheme' to provide 5 kg of free food grains per month to 81 crore poor for another five years.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the gift of free food grains to 81 crore people of the country for another five years is a huge step towards the welfare of the poor and self-respect of the poor. He also called it as "The guarantee of a sensitive and people-friendly government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi."

The Union Cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided that the Central government will provide free food grains to about 81.35 crore beneficiaries under the PMGKAY for a period of five years with effect from January 1, 2024.

This is a historic decision that places PMGKAY amongst the World’s biggest social welfare schemes aimed at ensuring food and nutrition security for 81.35 crore people, at an estimated cost of Rs. 11.80 lakh crore over a 5 year period.
The provision of free food grains under PMGKAY for five years with effect from 1st January 2024 reflects the long-term commitment and vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for addressing National food and nutrition security.
Mumbai, Nov 29: Senior actor Anil Kapoor, who is all geared up for the release of his action thriller film 'Animal', took the internet by storm as he dropped a shirtless picture with his co-star Bobby Deol.
'Animal' stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil, Bobby, and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. The flick revolves around the complex relationship of a business magnate Balbir Singh (Anil) and his son Arjun Singh (Ranbir). After tragedy befalls Balbir, Arjun sets out to exact vengeance against his rival Viraj Surve (Bobby) and pledges to never leave his family, leading to a gruesome gang war.
Anil, who enjoys a fanbase of 5.8 million followers on Instagram, shared a photo with Bobby, in which both the actors are posing shirtless. Anil is wearing a black joggers, while Bobby is donning black shorts.

Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: A maid was caught on CCTV while stealing cash from her employer's cupboard at Jharpada Jagannath Nagar road under Laxmisagar police station in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra had hired Mami Patra as cook in February this year with a monthly salary of Rs 4,000. Mahapatra's house renovation work was going on due to which he had approximately Rs one lakh cash at home.
Finding an opportunity, unaware of the presence of CCTV, Patra was seeing steal cash and looking for other valuables in the cupboard.
Mahapatra lodged a written complaint in this regard in Laxmisagar police station against Mami Patra.
