Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Bharatiya Janata Party top leaders on Thursday extended their wishes to President Droupadi Murmu on her 66th birthday.

New Delhi, June 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Bharatiya Janata Party top leaders on Thursday extended their wishes to President Droupadi Murmu on her 66th birthday.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, "Warm birthday wishes to Rashtrapati Ji. Her exemplary service and dedication to our nation inspire us all. Her wisdom and emphasis on serving the poor and marginalized are a strong guiding force. Her life journey gives hope to crores of people. India will always be grateful to her for her tireless efforts and visionary leadership. May she be blessed with a long and healthy life."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also posted on X and said that the President's dedication to the development of the nation is an inspiration.

"Warm birthday greetings to the President of India, Droupadi Murmu Ji. Your dedication to the development of the nation and the upliftment of the poor and marginalized sections of society is an inspiration for all. I pray to God for your good health and a long life," Shah said.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also wished the President and said that India has deeply benefitted from her insights and contributions.

"Greetings and my best wishes to the President of India, Droupadi Murmu on her birthday. She is widely respected for her statesmanship and vision for India's all-round development. India has deeply benefitted from her insights and contributions. Her passion for the welfare and empowerment of the poor & weaker sections of our society is commendable. Praying for her good health and long life," Rajnath said on X.

Union Minister JP Nadda while extending his wishes to President Murmu, said, "I extend my heartfelt wishes to President Draupadi Murmu ji on her birthday. Your dedication to public service, public welfare and the upliftment of the underprivileged inspires us. I pray to God for your good health and long life."

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the President stands as a beacon of wisdom and dignity.

"Heartiest birthday wishes to Hon'ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu ji. Rashtrapati ji stands as a beacon of wisdom and dignity. Her commitment to the welfare of our people and her inspiring life journey continues to motivate the entire nation. We, in Assam, seek her continued blessings and guidance in the days ahead. I pray to Maa Kamakhya and Srimanta Sankardev to bless her with a long life in the service of the nation," he said.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also prayed for the long and healthy life of President Murmu.

"Hearty congratulations and best wishes to respected President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu ji on her birthday. I pray to Lord Badri Vishal for your healthy, long and auspicious life," he said.

President Droupadi Murmu visited the Jagannath Mandir in Delhi and offered prayers today.

T20 World Cup: What Will Happen If India V England Semifinal Washed Out In Guyana?

New Delhi, June 27: After South Africa's thumping nine-wicket win over Afghanistan in the first semi-final, the focus shifts to the second semifinal of the T20 World Cup between India and England at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday.

The Rohit Sharma-led side is eyeing their first T20 World Cup final since 2014 after beating Australia in their last Super Eight clash on Monday. In the last edition's semi-final, India faced a crushing 10-wicket loss to eventual champions England in Adelaide.

Meanwhile, the weather in Guyana is likely to play a spoilsport in the crucial match. According to Guyana's weather prediction for Thursday, "thunder showers changing to heavy showers by late morning" is expected with a 60 per cent chance of rain predicted.

What will happen if the India vs England semifinal is washed out?

The India vs England semi-final clash does not have a reserve day but has been granted an additional 250 minutes time to complete the fixture beyond the usual cut-off period.

For the semi-finals and final, a minimum of 10 overs have to be bowled in each innings to constitute a match. Failing to play 10 overs each, the team finishing at the top of their Super Eight group advances to the final which means India will progress to the finals.

If there is a tie, and weather conditions prevent the Super Over from being completed, or if the match is abandoned due to weather or for whatever reason the game is a no result, then the team that finished first in its Second Round Group (Super 8) will progress to the Final.

As per the latest weather update, the conditions remain overcast with rain probability increasing with time.

The match will start at 8 pm IST if there will be no rain interruption.

Jamtara fraudster arrested for Rs. 2 lakh phishing scam

Jamtara, June 27: The staff of Cyber Cell, South West District Police Station, arrested a fraudster, Amrul Ansari, 24, from Jamtara, Jharkhand, for cheating victims through phishing links.

Ansari tricked victims by posing as customer care representatives and persuading them to transfer money.

On 19th March 2024, Neelam Gupta from Anand Niketan from Delhi filed a complaint after losing around Rs. 2 lakh. She received a call about a delayed Indian Post parcel and was asked to make a payment of Rs. 3 through a link sent via WhatsApp. After entering her details, Rs. 1,79,000 and Rs. 21,000 were debited from her account.

Investigations revealed the money was transferred to a Canara Bank account in Mumbai.

Technical analysis traced the fraud to Jamtara, revealing multiple SIM cards active in one device linked to Ansari.

A police team conducted raids in Jamtara, arresting Ansari and recovering four smartphones with SIM cards.

Ansari admitted his involvement in the crime and had a prior cyber fraud case.

Further analysis found two more complaints linked to him on the MHA Portal.

Earlier on May 9, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman urged the Jharkhand government and fintech companies to redirect the state's talent involved in cybercrimes towards ethical hacking.

Addressing the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce in Ranchi, she emphasized the potential for financial regulators and the government to engage these individuals in combating cyber fraud.

From 2019 to July 2023, Jharkhand reported 5,350 cybercrime cases, with significant numbers in Ranchi, Dhanbad, Deoghar, Jamshedpur, and Hazaribagh. Despite a slight decrease, the state recorded 967 cybercrime cases in 2022, ranking second highest in the country.

Notably, Jamtara dubbed the "phishing capital of India," accounts for 2.4% of national cybercrimes.

In response, the Jharkhand Police established a Cyber Crime Police Station in 2016 to address serious cybercrimes.
Sitharaman also highlighted that corruption and lack of infrastructure hinder Jharkhand's progress, wasting the state's talent.
