Four intermediate students, returning after a party to celebrate their success in exams, died in a tragic road accident in Warangal district of Telangana, police said.

Hyderabad, Apr 25: Four intermediate students, returning after a party to celebrate their success in exams, died in a tragic road accident in Warangal district of Telangana, police said.

The accident occurred around midnight on the outskirts of Wardhannapet town on Warangal-Khammam highway when the bike which they were riding collided with a private bus coming from the opposite direction.

According to police, the accident occurred when all four teenagers were riding the same bike.

Three of the youths died on the spot while the fourth succumbed at MGM Hospital in Warangal.

All the deceased were aged around 17 years. They have been identified as M. Siddu, P. Ganesh, Varun Tej and P. Ranil Kumar.

Ganesh hailed from Wardhannapet while three others were from Yellanda village near the town. They had passed the intermediate exam, the result of which was announced on Wednesday.

To celebrate the success, they went out for dinner. However, they met with the accident while returning home. The bike apparently lost control and rammed into the bus coming from the opposite direction.

PM Modi Likely To Address Two Rallies In Bengal On May 11-12

Kolkata, May 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to address two election rallies in West Bengal over the weekend.

The first rally, according to sources in the state unit of BJP, on May 11 will be in Howrah district in support of the twin party candidates from the district namely Rathin Chakraborty from Howrah and Arun Uday Pal Chaudhury from Uluberia.

On the next day, party insiders said, the Prime Minister will attend a rally at Singur in Hooghly district in support of the three candidates from the district namely actress-turned-politician and sitting party MP Locket Chatterjee from Hooghly, Arup Kanti Digar from Arambagh and Kabir Shankar Bose from Serampore.

All these five constituencies, two in Howrah district and three in Hooghly will be going to polls in the fifth phase on May 20.

Of these five constituencies, BJP candidates managed victory only in Hooghly in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, while Trinamool Congress candidates got elected from the remaining four constituencies. However, this time BJP is confident of victories from some more of these constituencies, especially at Arambagh and Howrah.

On May 3 only, the Prime Minister addressed three back-to-back rallies in the three districts of East Burdwan, Nadia and Bibhum. In one of the rallies, the Prime Minister even accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of attempting to make the Hindus second-class citizens in West Bengal.

He also claimed that the Trinamool Congress is exactly replicating the path of corruption which the UPA government took during its ten-year rule between 2004 and 2014.

Congress Changes Candidates In 5 Assembly Seats

Bhubaneswar, May 5: The Congress changed candidates in five Assembly constituencies in Odisha today.

It picked Sudarshan Das anew for the Jaleswar Assembly seat in the place of Debi Prasanna Chand named earlier.

Similarly, the party changed candidates in Bari, Athamallik, Athagarh and Puri Assembly seats. It picked Debashish Nayak in place of Arati Deo for Bari seat, Himansu Chaulia in place of Bijayananda Chaulia for Athamallik seat, Sudarsan Sahoo in place of Mehboob Ahemed Khan for the Athagarh seat and Uma Ballav Rath in the place of Sujit Mohapatra for Puri seat.

The party named Akshaya Acharya to fight polls from the Nilgiri Assembly segment.

BJP Central Leaders' Unstoppable Campaign: Rajnath To Visit Odisha On May 8, Shah Again On May 12

Bhubaneswar, May 5: Bharatiya Janata Party Central Leaderships have seemingly decided to leave no stone unturned in reaching out to people through high-voltage campaigns while just a week is left for the first phase of polling in the State on May 13.

So far, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar have already campaigned for party candidates in Odisha ahead of polls. While Jaishankar is still there with his scheduled intellectuals' meeting in Cuttack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Nadda are visiting the State today.

In his two-day visit, the PM will halt tonight at the Raj Bhawan and address massive public rallies at Berhampur and Nabarangpur tomorrow. He is scheduled to come to Odisha again on May 10. He will then lead road shows in Bhubaneswar, said party sources
Nadda will attend programmes in Bhubaneswar and other places during this two-day visit i.e May 5 and 6.

Party sources further informed that another senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Odisha on May 8 and Home Minister Shah again on May 12. While Singh is scheduled to address a huge public gathering at Rayagada, Shah is likely to campaign candidates who are in the fray for the second phase poll on May 20.

Four Lok Sabha constituencies- Berahmpur, Nabarangpur, Koraput and Kandhamal- and 28 Assembly under them are going to the polls in the country's fourth phase and the State's first phase on May 13.
