BJP secured a majority by winning 48 out of 90 Haryana Assembly seats in the recent polls. The Congress managed to win 37 segments.
The credit for the BJP’s stunning comeback for the third consecutive term in Haryana largely goes to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, one of the closet aides of the party's chief strategist Amit Shah.
According to party sources, Pradhan's involvement in Haryana elections typically revolves around campaigning, addressing issues like agricultural reforms, development projects, and social welfare schemes, which resonate with the state's electorate. His strategies often aim to consolidate support among various demographic groups, including farmers and youth.
Pradhan's poll strategy, sources said, started with hunkering down at the spot. For over a month, he did not budge from the state, setting up camps at Rohtak, Kurukshetra and Panchkula. He kept an ear to the ground, listening to party workers and leaders and liaising on their behalf with the Central leadership. His efforts paid off handsomely.
Earlier this year, Pradhan orchestrated a historic win for the BJP in Odisha, defeating five-term BJD government.
