The arrested have been identified as former OIS officer Niranjan Sethy and Raj Communication owner Ranjan Nayak, informed the police in a presser held today.
However, the police are yet to nab Sarmistha Rout, a web news portal editor and suspected mastermind of the case yet.
Manas Kumar Swain of Gudiapokhari village under Ranapur Police station in Nayagarh district had been kidnapped from Nalgunda of Chandbali area in Bhadrak district on February 7.
Following the abduction, the owner of the web portal where he worked along with her five allies allegedly kept Manas under detention at a Bhubaneswar Ashram. The detainee was murdered subsequently and in order to destroy evidence the accused buried his body near Gudipokhari under Ranapur Police limits.
