The arrested person has been identified as Lingaraj Rana.
According to information, Lingaraj had kept a boar by tying to a pole. Some villagers had opposed him to rear the endangered animal.
On being informed by locals, a team of forest officials conducted a raid on the house of Lingaraj and rescued the boar. They arrested him on the charge of keeping the animal in a confinement, which ia an illegal act.
Lingaraj will be forwarded to court tomorrow.
