According to sources, a Plus Two first-year girl student of the junior college had recently alleged that she was ragged and harassed by her seniors on the college premises.
In a written complaint to the Principal of the college, the victim had reportedly stated girls are not safe even in the classrooms of the college as they are often harassed by seniors in the presence of teachers.
Based on the victim’s complaint, the Principal directed the anti-ragging committee of the institution to submit a detailed report in this regard at the earliest.
Subsequently, the anti-ragging committee identified the accused nine students and found them guilty. The action against the accused students was taken based on the report of the anti-ragging committee, officials added.
