According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, thunderstorm with lightening and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph and hailstorm is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Keonjhar, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Khordha, and Puri; also heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Dhenkanal, Cuttack and Jajpur from 8.30 am of Saturday to 8.30 am of Sunday.
The IMD issued an orange alert for all these nine districts during the period.
It also issued yellow warning of thunderstorm and lightening with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50kmph for the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Boudh, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri and Rayagada till tomorrow morning.
The IMD also forecast that light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places in the State till March 22.

Likewise, yellow weather warning has been issued for several districts in the State for next three days.
Meanwhile, continuous rain lashed Koraput, Malkangiri and other districts in last 24 hours.
