According to the information, the unidentified miscreants who were smuggling the contraband were changing the punctured tire of their car.
Soon, a patrolling police van reached the spot. Seeing the police patrolling van, the smugglers managed to escape from the spot leaving the car behind.
Suspecting something fishy, the police searched through the vehicle and found a huge cache of ganga, different vehicle number plates and bombs from the vehicle.
Immediately, they police seized the vehicle and informed the Tehsildar and Bomb squad. In the presence of the Tehsildar the bomb squad seized the bombs.
It is yet to be known to where the contraband and explosives were being smuggled by the miscreants. A stringent probe has been initiated by the police to nab the smugglers who are on the run, informed by Sambalpur SP (Superintendent of Police).
