It is so understood from the fact that a unit of power consumption costs a resident of Odisha more than consumption in States like Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Goa.
According a report recently published by the Power Finance Cooperation, Odisha charges Rs 5.22 per unit of power consumption, compared to Rs 3.77 in neighbouring State Chhattisgarh, Rs 3.94 in Jharkhand, Rs 4.45 in Andhra Pradesh, Rs 4.40 in Tamil Nadu, Rs 4.79 in Telangana and Rs 4.85 in Goa.
