According to the information, the Congress presidential candidate will reach Bhubaneswar in the morning and will hold a meeting with all the 428 PCC members at around 12 noon.
Sources said Kharge will seek votes in favor of his candidature.
The upcoming polls would certainly be historic as the new president would replace Sonia Gandhi, the longest-serving party president who has been at the helm since 1998, barring the two years between 2017 and 2019 when Rahul Gandhi took over.
Voting will take place on October 17 and the election results will be declared on October 19. Shashi Tharoor and Mallikarjun Kharge are up against each other in the race for the post of Congress president.
