The deceased has been identified as Kuna Pujari, a Class X student of Malusanta Government High School, Mathalput.
As per reports, Kuna was appearing for the General Science paper in the ongoing annual HSC examination, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha today at his examination centre at Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Damanjodi.
The boy suddenly fell unconscious at the examination centre. The school authorities rushed him to NALCO hospital in Damanjodi where the attending doctor declared him “brought dead”.

On being informed, local police reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident.
A case has been registered in this connection and the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained, police said.
