Out of the 343 fresh cases in the State Capital, 79 cases were detected from among quarantined people and the rest 264 cases were reported from local contacts.
With this, the Covid-19 tally of the BMC area has increased to 92,688.
The civic body also said that as many as 322 people of the city recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours.
To date, a total of 90,991 Covid-19 patients of the BMC area have been cured while 492 people succumbed to the virus.
The active cases of the city currently stand at 1,184, said the BMC.
