Acting on complaints of amassment of wealth disproportionate his known sources of income by Umesh Kumar Shasani, Assistant Engineer, Anandpur Baitarini Irrigation Division, Vigilance officers, this morning, started conducting searches in his office room and houses at different places to detect assets possessed by him and his family members.
Bhadrak, Mar 22: Acting on complaints of amassment of wealth disproportionate his known sources of income by Umesh Kumar Shasani, Assistant Engineer, Anandpur Baitarini Irrigation Division, Vigilance officers, this morning, started conducting searches in his office room and houses at different places to detect assets possessed by him and his family members.
According to information, Vigilance sleuths are now conducting searches on the Assistant Engineer’s houses and office room at eight different places in the State on the capacity of warrant issued against him by a Special Vigilance Court.
A team is raiding his house at his native Apartibandha village in Bhadrak district, said sources.
Searches are in progress and likely to continue till afternoon, added the sources.
