The incident has been reported from Tamasangi village of Parangada gram panchayat under Gajapati block’s Gumma block in the district.
According to information, carrying patients, let she be an elderly woman or a pregnant lady or an aged man, is a normal affair in the Tamasingha village as it lacks a motorable road.
The village road poses more difficulties for villagers and school students in rainy season in view of its roughness and potholes.
“This is not the first incident happened in our village. Due to lack of a motorable road, patients, irrespective of age, are carried either on cots or slings to hospitals. Our repeated requests for a pucca road have fallen in deaf ears only,” rued villagers.
