In all, 13 nominations were filed till the nominations ended on November 17. The candidates in the fray after scrutiny and withdrawal include—BJP’s Rohit Pujari, BJD’s Barsha Singh Bariha and Satya Bhusan Sahu (Congress).
According to the Chief Electoral officer (CEO), the ballot paper will be printed on this list of contesting candidates. There is braille ballot facility for visually challenged voters and the postal ballot facility for absentee voters like flagged PwDs, Senior citizens above 80 + years who have opted for postal ballot.
The voting will be conducted at 319 polling stations across the assembly constituency. As many 11 polling parties comprising two polling officers, one micro observer, one video person and one security personnel will be visiting the voters along with the voting compartment and other stationaries from November 24 for collecting the postal ballot.
Noteworthy, Rebati Giri, who filed her nomination paper has withdrawn her candidature and joined BJP in the presence of Odisha BJP president Samir Mohanty.
