Youth Electrocuted With Wire Spread By Him For Fishing In Koraput River

Koraput, Mar 29: Spreading live electric wire to catch fish in a river has cost a villager his life in Narayanapatna area in Koraput district early this morning. 

The shocking incident has occurred at Chintaguda village and the deceased has been identified as Kayama Kendruka (22).

According to the information, Kayama along with some other co-villagers went to catch fish in the nearby Jhanjabati River last evening. They had reportedly spread electic wire in a patch of the river to restrict others from catching fisth. As luck would have it, the live wire turned fatal for Kayama. For some wrong, Kayama came in contact with the wire and died. However, two others were saved. 

On being informed, the police have reached the spot and seized the body. 

The shocking incident has been a matter of discussion in the area.
