BJD Releases Election Manifesto, Promises Special Youth Budget

Bhubaneswar, May 9: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Thursday released its manifesto with nine promises for the upcoming elections. 
BJD Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik released the manifesto in a video. 

The party promised to bring a special Youth Budget amounting Rs 1 lakh crore for the next 10 years. It promised to convert every SHG to a SME in the next five years. 

Under the Nua-Odisha, students' yearly financial support will be increased. Girls will get Rs 14,000 and boys Rs 12,000. 

Puri will be upgraded to a city with all facilities for devotees. 

The BJD also promised to provide free electricity to families consuming upto 100 units and free 50 units to families consuming upto 150 units. 

BSKY coverage will be provided to all groups of people gradually.
