Bhubaneswar, Sept 30: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday congratulated Bollywood megastar Mithun Chakraborty on being selected for the most prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his lifetime contribution to Indian Cinema. 

"Heartily congratulate Shri Mithun Chakraborty ji on being honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb PhalkeAward. 

A versatile actor, he has enthralled millions and has made noteworthy contributions to Indian cinema. His commitment to social causes is also admirable. India’s highest film recognition to Mithun Da is a true celebration of his cinematic legacy," Pradhan wrote on his X handle.
