Sarbananda Sonowal To Inaugurate  ‘ODISHA HEALTH CONNECT SEASON 2’ Conclave On Jan 20

Bhubaneswar, Jan 18: Union Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will inaugurate a health conclave titled ‘ODISHA HEALTH CONNECT SEASON 2’ here in Odisha on January 20, officials said on Thursday.

The health conclave, organized by the Argus News- a leading TV channel in Odisha, will be held at a hotel in the State Capital. Several health experts and other dignitaries from across the country are scheduled to participate in the day-long event.

In the conclave, a wide range of discussion will be held on various aspects of the health services in the State.

"Over the years, Odisha has witnessed a gradual improvement in the health status of the population due to many factors. However, geographical inaccessibility, cultural barriers, ignorance of people, poverty, poor service quality, reliance on informal sector etc are few key features of the health ecosystem in the State," an organizer said.

“The conclave is an effort to unearth the challenges and concerns pertaining to the health care facilities in Odisha. It will chalk out a roadmap for healthcare in the State towards greater accessibility and affordability," he added. 

The Conclave will discuss on following issues.

  • Affordable, Accessible and Integrated Healthcare in Odisha 

An action plan designed to take healthcare in Odisha to the next level by examining ways to make it universally affordable and accessible.  To approach the rising lifestyle problems through advances in Indian system of medicine and making the inclusive health by Integrated Medicine.

  • Healthcare - Need and Scope 

Efforts to formulate the strategy, roadmap for the Generation Next, addressing the gaps and multi-sectoral coordination, engaging health infrastructure and insurance sectors, to achieve the affordable, available, acceptable health at door step of every individual. To bring the harmony for a “Fit India Healthy India” by need based intervention towards the goal of “HEALTH FOR ALL”

  • Holistic and Preventive Health 

To bring lifestyle modification, adoption of preventive health, integrating holistic healthcare, both in rural and urban set up.  Involving Civil society organisation, positive media, targeting chid hood to elderly and involving the industries as well as corporate sectors for 360-degree solutions to disease prevention rather than disease treatment.
