Bhubaneswar/New Delhi, Sep 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, on Sunday, as part of his trip to the poll-bound state.
During the visit, he will flag off six Vande Bharat trains and inaugurate or lay the foundation of various development projects worth Rs 21,000 crore.
The six Vande Bharat Express trains will cover vital routes connecting key cities in Jharkhand and neighboring states, significantly improving travel efficiency for passengers across these regions.
The Vande Bharat trains will operate between Berhampur-Tata, Rourkela-Howrah, Deoghar-Banaras, Howrah-Gaya and Howrah-Bhagalpur.
At least three more Vande Bharat Express trains will run through Odisha from tomorrow.
The new trains that will run through Odisha are Tata-Berhampur, Rourkela-Howrah and Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express.
Governor of Odisha, Raghubar Das will grace the flagg-off ceremony of Vande Bharat Express at Rourkela Railway Station, while CM Mohan Charan Majhi will grace the occasion at Brahmapur Railway Station and will also board Vande Bharat Express from Brahmapur to Bhubaneswar.
