Bhubaneswar, Oct 19: Ollywood Actor Buddhaditya Mohanty tendered a public apology over his 'controversial' social media post, hours after Odisha Chhatra Congress filed an FIR against him at the Capital Police station here on Friday.
The student wing of Odisha Congress lodged a complaint against Mohanty at the Capital Police station here over his Facebook post, where the actor mentioned that that All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen President Asaduddin Owaisi and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should be the hitlist of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
In his Facebook post, Mohanty allegedly described gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is allegedly behind the sensational murder of senior NCP leader Baba Siddique, as a secret agency of India and anticipated that Asaduddin Owaisi and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi “should be” his next target.
Later, Mohanty deleted his “controversial post” on his Facebook page and tendered apologies.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang recently claimed responsibility for the murder of former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique. The NCP leader, 66, was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Mumbai's Bandra East on October 12.
