Odisha CM, Deputy CMs To Meet Union Home Minister, Railway Minister Today

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar, June 28: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with his two deputies, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, will call on Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, separately in New Delhi on Friday afternoon, during their three-day visit to the national capital, officials said.

According to the official sources, the newly elected CM and Deputy CMs will meet Railway Minister Vaishnaw at 1 PM and discuss the progress of the ongoing railway projects in Odisha.

The Trio will call on Union Home Minister Shah at 4 PM and seek cooperation of the central government for the all-round development of the State.

Yesterday, CM Majhi and his deputies called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan and invited her to the world famous Ratha Yatra festival in Puri.

The newly elected CM and Deputy CMs also met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari separately in the national capital.

According to sources, Majhi and his two deputies discussed with the Prime Minister and the Union Ministers regarding the development of Odisha and implementation of the promises made in the BJP’s election manifesto.

They also slated to meet BJP national president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and several other Union Ministers during their stay in the national capital till June 29.

This is the maiden visit of Majhi to New Delhi after assuming charge as Chief Minister of the first BJP government in Odisha on June 12.
