Govt To Establish Need-Based Cold Storages On PPP Mode: Odisha Dy Chief Minister

Bhubaneswar, Nov 27: The State government has decided to establish need-based cold storage on PPP mode in the State. 
Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo stated this in the State Assembly while replying to questions from MLA Sanjali Murmu and other members. 

MLA Murmu wanted to know if the State government would establish a cold storage to preserve lemons produced in Kuliana and other blocks under Bangiriposi Assembly constituency. 

The Deputy Chief Minister said the government has already decided to establish 58 cold storages in subdivisions. But the government would consider establishing need-based cold storages in the coming days. 

MLAs Bhaskar Madhei and MLA Aswini Kumar Patra asked additional questions. 

To a question asked by Patra, the Deputy Chief Minister Minister said the government would investigate if any cold storage is under the control of a private entity belonging to West Bengal and take action accordingly. 

The Minister said fruit and vegetable saplings have been distributed to farmers in Bangiriposi.
