Sonepur, April 25: Union Minister and BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Sambalpur, Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday urged BJD president and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to publish a white paper on the developmental works in his assembly constituencies being carried out in the last 24 years.

While addressing the BJP's 'Bijay Sankalp Samabesh' at the Rameswaram Stadium in Sonepur, Pradhan said the Chief Minister should mention the developmental works carried out by him in Hinjili and  Bijepur Assembly segments in the white paper.

The Union Minister further said that the Chief Minister should also mention the development work done by the State government in Kantabanji Assembly segment in the last 24 years in the white paper.

"The Odisha Chief Minister started his election campaigning yesterday and alleged that Opposition parties are doing politics and obstructing the developmental work. However, I want to ask the Chief Minister that you have been representing Hinjili for a long period of time. Last time, you came to Bijepur to trick the people. This time you are contesting from Kantabanji Assembly segment under Balangir Lok Sabha constituency, where our young party leader Laxman Bagh will give you a befitting reply in the upcoming elections," Pradha said.

"With great humility, I urge the Chief Minister to publish a white paper on what developmental works that your government has done in Hinjili, Bijepur and Kantabanji segments in the last 24 years," he added.

"PM Modi's schemes are not being implemented in Odisha. There is no drinking water. The health sector is in ruins. Students are not going to school. There are atrocities against women. People have to migrate to other states for jobs," he pointed out.

The Union Minister also appealed the people to vote in favour of the BJP candidates for both the Lok Sabha and Assembly seats in the upcoming general elections for the overall development in Odisha.

"Jodi Sankha Bahut Dukha, Jodi Phula Bahut Bhala (Double conch refers to lots of sorrows but double flowers are excellent )," Pradhan said.

Notably, Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be held simultaneously in Odisha in four phases from May 13 to June 1.

Results for the Assembly and the Lok Sabha polls will be declared on June 4.
