Elderly Man Dies Of Bear Attack In Sambalpur

Sambalpur, Mar 28: An elderly man died in a bear attack when he had gone to collect Mahul leaves from the jungle in Tala village under Badabahal range of Redhakhol forest divison in Sambalpur district this morning.

The deceased man has been identified as Abhi Sethi.

According to the information, the man had gone to collect Mahul leaves around 8:30 am today when a bear attacked him. 

Locals rushed him to Sub-Divisional Hospital (SDH) at Redhakhol.

The doctors declared him brought dead. 

The forest department reached the spot and started an investigation to trace the bear. 

Villagers have demanded that the bear be traced and shifted to other place away from human habitation.
