Berhampur, Nov 18: Acting on complaints, Vigilance sleuths, on Monday morning, started searching houses and the office room of Subash Chandra Panda, Deputy General Manager, Engineering (Civil), Odisha State Police Housing Welfare Corporation, Berhampur Division, at four places in Bhubaneswar and Berhampur to detect assets possessed by him.
Teams comprising five DSPs, seven 7Inspectors, and other supporting staff are conducting raids on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
Searches were being conducted at the following four places:
1. His residential house over plot No. 1105/ 1882, at Mahadev Vihar, Shankarpur, Aiginia, under Bharatpur PS, Bhubaneswar.
2. House of Panda at his native place at village -Barimunda, Ramagarh Sahi, PS: Mancheswar, Bhubaneswar (near Baliyatra Padia, Bhubaneswar).
3. His rented house at Kharavel Nagar, 1st Line, Berhampur.
4. His office is at Medical Bank Colony, 1st Lane, BN Pur, Berhampur.
According to the latest information, lakhs of rupees in hard cash and ornaments worth lakhs of rupees have been detected so far.
