CM Mohan Majhi To Conduct Aerial Survey To Assess Flood Affected Areas In Balasore

Bhubaneswar/ Balasore, Sep 18: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will conduct an aerial survey of the flood affected areas in Balasore district today, officials said.

According to sources, water of river Subarnarekha entered into more than 250 villages in five block areas of Balasore district following the incessant rain in the region.

The local administration has so far evacuated over 400 people to safer places after flood water entered low-lying areas of Bhograi, Jaleswar, Basta, Baliapal and Sadar blocks.

As many as 264 villages under 56 gram panchayat and 17 wards in Jaleswar Municipality have been affected by the flood, sources said.
