CM Mohan Majhi Offers Prayers At Several Durga Puja Mandaps In Cuttack

Cuttack, Oct 12: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday visited several Puja Mandaps here in Odisha and offered prayers to Maa Durga on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami.

Accompanied by some senior BJP leaders, the Chief Minister visited Durga Puja pandals at Pratapnagari, Balikuda, Sikharpur, Chauliaganj etc.  in the silver city. He reportedly visited more than 30 Paja pandals here and paid obeisance to Maa Durga.

“I sought the blessings of Maa Durga for the wellbeing of the people across the State,” the Chief Minister said.

On Friday, the Chief Minister along with his wife and other senior BJP leaders visited several Puja Mandaps at Nayapalli, Patnasahi, Baramunda, Rasulgarh, Saheed Nagar, Rasulgarh etc. in Bhubaneswar Bhubaneswar and offered puja to Goddess there.

The Odisha government yesterday decided to waive off government rent for all Durga Puja pandals across the State.

The famous Durga Puja is celebrated in Odisha and different parts of the country as a victory of good over evil and Maa Durga is considered as a symbol of shakti.

The festival commenced in Odisha on Thursday with all rituals and festive spirit. It will continue till Sunday, 13th October.

Devotees are seen worshiping Goddess Durga, in different ‘Shakti Peethas’ and puja pandals across the state.
