CM Majhi Attends Flagging Off Ceremony As Vande Bharat Train Runs From Berhampur

Berhampur, Sept 15: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi turned his first visit to Berhampur a memorable one not only for the locals but also for the people of Odisha.

CM Majhi was present Sunday at Brahmapur Railway station for the flagging-off ceremony of the Brahmapur-Tatanagar Vande Bharat Train.

Ministers, MLAs as well as leaders have termed it as an invaluable gift for Berhampur as well as for South Odisha.

CM Majhi arrived in Berhampur in a helicopter, which landed at KC High School field in Gosani Nuagaon. The excitement among the people could be seen clearly when CM Majhi headed to Brahmapur Railway Station.

CM majhi was given welcome through traditional folk dance and traditional music. Ministers and MLAs said that the resolution taken by the Prime Minister for the development of Odisha is being fulfilled, adding there are many more to come.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off six new Vande Bharat trains including two for Odisha Sunday from Tatanagar Junction Railway Station in Jharkhand.

The six new routes are Tatanagar-Patna, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Rourkela-Howrah, Deoghar-Varanasi, Bhagalpur-Howrah and Gaya-Howrah.

PM Modi will flag off the Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Train Monday and this will be the third Vande Bharat train for Odisha.
