Congress, meanwhile, has taken an early lead in candidate selection and is actively mobilizing support through rallies and public engagements. The party claims its nominee is nearly finalized and aims to capitalize on local popularity and past performance.

The BJP has stated that its candidate will be decided by the party’s parliamentary board, emphasizing that the people of Odisha chose the party in the 2024 elections and will continue to support it for development.

The BJD, on the other hand, has indicated that party supremo Naveen Patnaik will make the final decision on its nominee.

With just 30 days left, all three parties are sharpening their campaign strategies. Ground-level assessments, public connect programmes, and digital outreach are being ramped up. The focus is on selecting candidates based on experience, popularity, and local appeal.

As the political bugle sounds, Nuapada is set to witness a high-stakes contest that could shape the narrative for future elections. All eyes are now on which party will win the trust of the voters and claim victory in the upcoming bypoll.
