Bhubaneswar, Feb 9: Senior IAS officer and Additional Chief Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development Department, Usha Padhee on Monday assumed additional charge as Chairperson of the Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO), Odisha, officials said.

 

In a post on X, IDCO Odisha said: “Today, Smt @ushapadhee1996, IAS, took over the charge as the Chairperson of #IDCO. Under her leadership, the industrial sector of #Odisha will witness rapid development and growth.”

 

Soon after taking charge, Padhee convened a meeting with senior officials and staff of IDCO to review ongoing projects and set priorities for strengthening Odisha’s industrial infrastructure. She emphasized timely execution, transparency, inter-departmental coordination, and investor facilitation as key focus areas.

Highlighting IDCO’s pivotal role in accelerating industrial growth through land development and infrastructure creation, Padhee emphasized the need for well-planned industrial townships equipped with modern civic amenities, transport facilities, and sustainable infrastructure. She noted that such initiatives would ensure balanced and inclusive development across the state.
