Bhubaneswar, Sep 5: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan conveyed heartfelt greetings to educators across the nation, emphasising their pivotal role in shaping society and individual lives.

His message also paid rich tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is commemorated as Teachers’ Day in India.

In his statement, Pradhan described Dr. Radhakrishnan as a former President of India, a renowned philosopher, and a Bharat Ratna awardee, whose legacy continues to inspire generations.

“On this sacred day, we offer our respectful homage to Dr. Radhakrishnan, whose life and teachings have been a beacon of wisdom and integrity,” he said.

Highlighting the transformative power of teachers, Pradhan noted, “Teachers are not confined to the act of imparting education. They illuminate the path of knowledge, instill values, and nurture a sense of responsibility towards the nation. They teach us not just how to earn a living, but how to live meaningfully.”

He further added that teachers play a vital role in dispelling ignorance and lighting the lamp of wisdom.
