Jaleswar, Aug 24: The Subarnarekha River has once again triggered flood concerns in Odisha’s Balasore district as it breached the danger mark at Rajghat in Jaleswar early this morning.
As of 7:00 AM, the river was flowing at 10.50 meters, surpassing the danger level of 10.36 meters.
The situation escalated following the release of approximately 4 lakh cusecs of water from the Galudihi Barrage at 10:00 AM yesterday.
Floodwaters have already begun entering several villages in Bhogarai and Baliapal blocks, disrupting daily life and prompting emergency response measures.
