Puri, Nov 20: In a major breakthrough, Puri Police arrested 10 alleged members of two criminal gangs during “Operation Chakra.”
The arrests were made in coordinated raids by officials from Talabania and Town police stations, a source said Thursday.
Police seized three guns, four live rounds, three sharp weapons, an iron rod and some cash from the suspects.
According to the police, the groups were planning robberies, extortion and other criminal activities before the arrests.
“We have successfully apprehended the accused and recovered weapons and other materials from their possession,” the Puri Superintendent of Police Prateek Singh said.
All the suspects would be produced in court today, the SP added.
