Bhubaneswar, Jul 21: In response to the recent controversyinvolving Odisha State Student Congress President Udit Pradhan, the Pradesh Congress Committee has formed a six-member fact-finding committee to investigate the allegations of misconduct made against him. In another development, the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has suspended Pradhan.
The committee, chaired by PCC Vice President Sashmita Behera, includes members Sofia Firdous, Debasmita Sharma, Sonali Sahoo, Jayashree Mohapatra, and Manisha Daspattnaik. Their mandate is to look into the details surrounding the serious accusations levelled against Pradhan and submit an internal report on the matter.
As the issue gains traction both politically and publicly, the Congress party has swiftly acted to distance itself from any potential wrongdoing.
