New Delhi, Nov 9: Odisha has received national acclaim for its efforts in sustainable urban mobility. The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), Bhubaneswar, was conferred the “Special Mention Award in Urban Transport” at the prestigious Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference 2025, held in Gurugram.
The award, presented under the category “Running Trophy for the State/UT which has Implemented Best Urban Transport Projects,” recognized CRUT’s flagship initiatives — Ama Bus and Ama E-Ride — for their innovation, inclusivity, and environmental impact.
The honour was bestowed by the Minister of Housing and Urban
Affairs during the valedictory session of the conference. Receiving the award
on behalf of the state were Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary, Housing &
Urban Development Department, and senior CRUT officials.
