Bhubaneswar, Sept 2: In a remarkable display of medical expertise and quick thinking, Dr. Jyotirmayee Nayak, Additional Superintendent of SCB Medical College, Cuttack, saved a fellow passenger’s life aboard a flight from Bhubaneswar to Raipur.


Dr. Nayak was en route to attend a medical conference when a female passenger reportedly collapsed mid-flight. Witnesses reported that the woman lost consciousness and fell to the floor, prompting immediate concern among crew and passengers.


Responding swiftly, Dr. Nayak administered Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) inside the aircraft, stabilizing the woman’s condition before landing. Upon arrival, the Airport authorities arranged an immediate transfer to a medical facility for her.
