Bhubaneswar, Oct 23: A high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary of the Law Department is set to take place on October 24 at 3 PM in Lok Seva Bhavan to examine the withdrawal process of e-challans pending in various courts.

Sources say that a large number of e-challans, which couldn’t be resolved by RTO and police authorities within the stipulated time, were forwarded to the judiciary. However, most of these cases remain unheard in court.

To address the backlog, a committee led by the Law Department’s Chief Secretary was previously constituted.
