Baripada, Sep 15: Union Education Minister Dharmendra
Pradhan, during his day-long visit to Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Monday,
conducted a comprehensive review of the implementation of the National
Education Policy (NEP) and the progress of key government schemes.

Odisha’s School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, and elected representatives from Mayurbhanj district and senior officials, among others, participated in the meeting, held at Shaheed Smruti Bhawan in Baripada.
As per reports, the discussion focused on enhancing the quality of education from school to higher education, improving capacity building for teachers and students, and ensuring proper nutrition and healthcare for children in the region.

✨Speaking on the occasion, Pradhan praised Mayurbhanj’s role in advancing Odisha’s education landscape, calling its contribution “unparalleled.” He emphasized that the district’s development is essential for realizing the broader vision of “Viksit Odisha” and “Viksit Bharat.” He reiterated the importance of implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s forward-looking NEP to elevate educational standards and empower future generations.

The Minister also highlighted the presence of several quality educational institutions in Mayurbhanj and stressed the need for continued investment in infrastructure, teacher training, and student support systems.
