Bhubaneswar, Sep 18: The mysterious death of Aparna Priyadarshini, a Revenue Inspector from Dhenkanal, which was previously classified as a road accident in 2022, has now come under renewed scrutiny following the arrest of her husband, Deepak Rout, in connection with the murder of his second wife, traffic constable Shubhamitra Sahoo.

✨However, fresh allegations suggest Deepak orchestrated the accident to claim ₹1.5 crore from her life insurance policy. Aparna’s family revealed that she had informed her sister about traveling with Deepak shortly before the incident, raising further doubts about the circumstances of her death.
The case gained momentum after Shubhamitra’s murder, where Deepak allegedly strangled her and buried the body in Keonjhar. Her father has accused Deepak of plotting the murder to claim ₹1.25 crore from the insurance policy in the name of Shubhamitra. He also suspects Deepak’s elder brother played a key role in both cases, using the insurance money for business investments.
The families of both victims are demanding justice and a
high-level probe into Deepak’s activities. The case has sparked widespread
concern over the misuse of insurance policies and the need for stricter
oversight in such claims.
