Puri, Sep 10: A shocking incident unfolded in Nimapada late Monday night, where a man publicly paraded his wife and her alleged male companion through the streets, accusing them of having an extramarital affair.

The incident has triggered widespread outrage and is now circulating rapidly on social media.

According to eyewitnesses, the woman — a school teacher — was allegedly in a relationship with another male teacher. Her husband, who had long suspected the affair, reportedly faced threats and was evicted from their rented home by his wife. He also claimed to have endured repeated mental and physical abuse.

On Monday night around 10 pm, the husband, along with a group of supporters, stormed the house where the woman and her male friend were alone. The group allegedly assaulted both individuals, tied them up, and paraded them through a crowded marketplace in a humiliating display.

The woman sustained injuries during the assault, while her male companion also reportedly fought back, injuring the husband in the process.

Police arrived at the scene and took all parties into custody. Medical examinations were conducted, and separate complaints have been filed by both sides. The Nimapada police have launched an investigation to determine the facts and assess the legality of the actions taken by the husband and his supporters.
