Bengaluru, Dec 24: A shocking incident unfolded on Tuesday evening when a 39‑year‑old woman was allegedly shot dead by her husband shortly after she served him a divorce notice.
According to reports, the accused confronted his wife following receipt of the legal notice and, in a fit of rage, opened fire, leading to her death on the spot.
Following the incident, the accused husband, identified as Balamurugan, surrendered before the Magadi Road police and confessed to the crime.
On basis of the statement, police rushed to the scene and seized the body for post‑mortem examination. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.

✨Balamurugan, a software engineer, was formerly employed with Capgemini at Whitefield in Bengaluru while the deceased victim was working at the Union Bank of India's Basaveshwaranagar branch and residing in Rajajinagar along with her two children.
