Bhubaneswar, Jul 19: As the Monsoon Session of Parliament approaches, the Indian government has convened an all-party meeting on Sunday to ensure smooth functioning during the upcoming sittings.

Top ministers, including the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, have already wrapped up strategic meetings to fine-tune their parliamentary approach.

The session is set to begin on July 21, and a full mock drill was conducted inside the Parliament premises on Saturday to ensure preparedness.

The government aims to foster constructive debate and pass key legislation, and it plans to appeal to opposition parties for their support in maintaining decorum and facilitating core parliamentary business.

Sources indicate that the Opposition is also holding parallel strategy discussions to raise pertinent issues during the session. With the Monsoon Session traditionally marked by intense debates and high-stakes lawmaking, this pre-session coordination is seen as a move to reduce friction and ensure productivity.
