Senior BJD leader and Soro MLA Parshuram Dhada and former Phulbani MLA Debendra Kanhar resigned from the primary membership of the party soon after party president Naveen Patnaik announced the second list of candidates for Assembly seats.
Bhubaneswar, Apr 4: Soro MLA Parshuram Dhada and former Phulbani MLA Debendra Kanhar resigned from the primary membership of the Biju Janata Dala (BJD) party soon after party president Naveen Patnaik announced the second list of candidates for Assembly seats.
They resigned from party after being denied to get ticket.
As for his future plan, Dhada said that he has not taken any decision in this regard. "I will take the next step after consulting my supporters, seniors and well-wishers. I will contest in the polls to serve the people of my constituency, “he added.
Similarly, former Phulbani MLA Debendra Kanhar also sent his resignation letter to the party president.
BJD leader Asit patnaik also resigned from the party.
Ahead of the General Elections 2024, many BJD leaders have resigned from the Party.
